Nursing Reference Center (NRC) offers FREE CEUs for Ministry Associates

 


Keep your professional knowledge and skills up-to-date with CINAHL CEU Modules available through Nursing Reference Center (NRC).     There are over 1400 continuing education topics available.  

This service is open to nurses and allied health professionals (such as respiratory therapists, physical therapists, and more …)   Before taking the exam, you will be prompted for your name and license information.

CINAHL CEU modules are interactive educational modules that allow nurses (and other healthcare professionals) to satisfy CE requirements online.  They contain the latest topics on patient care and drug administration.  Each CEU consists of :
  • ·         course materials
  • ·         interactive review / practice test
  • ·         a competency test
  • ·         a certificate of completion


CINAHL is accredited as a provider of continuing education by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) and International Association for Continuing Education and Training (IACET).  Please check your certification-specific requirements.

Review of Basic Library Services

 

Find out what tools Ministry Library Services offers that can make your work life easier!

If you need to review the clinical journal literature, or just need specific articles, let your Librarians help. PubMed/Medline Phobia? We can help you make informed decisions with the best evidence!

  • Search our databases via the Library Without Walls Intranet page or the A-Z Databases List.  
  •  Expert Searching / Research : Want us to do the searching for you?   Use the online Literature Search Request form to tell us what you’re looking for.  Your Librarians will run the search in Medline, PubMed, Cochrane, CINAHL (or other appropriate databases) and give you a list of article citations that match your search criteria. 
  • Get Articles : Want specific articles? Send us the citations via email, or this Article Request Form, and we’ll send you the articles. In most cases, we can email you PDFs of articles, [following the Fair Use provision of US Copyright]. We have access to over 10,000 online journals. If we don’t have it, we can usually get it for you, at no cost to you. 
  • Did you know :
              o   If you use the PubMed link on the Library pages, you’ll tap into our full text?
              o   If you use Google Scholar (as opposed to “plain” Google), you’ll also tap into our full-text offerings?
  • Training.  Make an appointment to learn how to efficiently and effectively search PubMed, Medline, Cinahl, Nursing Reference Center, or Clinical Key. We offer training on these specific databases as well as a personalized library orientation geared to your interests and information needs.  Just ask us!
  •  The Support Tips and Tutorials LibGuide offers video tutorials, tips, and training for many of our databases including Clinical Key, Nursing Reference Center, Natural Medicines, and more.
  •  Our LibGuides, or Research Guides, logically and easily present all our relevant research tools for a given subject area.  Check out ALL our LibGuides in a variety of subject areas including :
