Ask-a-Librarian :   Do we have any Patient Education in Arabic?

Answer :   Yes, we do have some sources for Arabic Language  patient education materials, among other languages.    If you don’t find what you need with the patient ed. built into the EHRs, you can supplement with other trusted sources such as :

MedlinePlus – Health Information in Arabic

MedlinePlus – Health Information in Multiple Languages

The Patient Education LibGuide (also a tab on the Provider Toolbox) includes TABs for Patient Education in other Languages as well as Easy-to-Read :

·         There are boxes for Spanish and Hmong language materials, and Other Languages.

Additionally, Clinical Key provides many Patient Education Handouts in other languages as well. 

In Clinical Key Patient Education, click on the Available Languages Tab [See below] :

·         In this case, there are currently 119 handouts in Arabic via Clinical Key, with other languages also available.

• Alternatively, available languages are listed below each handout, with English and Spanish being the most widely available.
• Not every Clinical Key Patient Handout is available in other languages, but the list is growing ...
